One of the ways we remember people is in obituaries. One of the best known obituaries is that given by Mark Antony on the death of Julius Caesar in the play ,Julius Caesar.

Your job this week is to create and obituary for one of the following ancient Roman figures.
  1. Tarquin the Proud
  2. Julius Caesar
  3. Brutus
  4. Augustus
  5. Caligula
  6. Constantine
  7. Nero
  8. Trajan
  9. Cato the Elder
  10. Hadrian
  11. Cicero
  12. Titus Flavius

The Obituary

  1. Your obituary will be about 750 words long. 
  2. It will praise the good qualities and accomplishments of your person, while acknowledging and minimizing their faults.
  3. The obituary should be a biography of your character with a positive spin to it.
  4. It will be written to be said aloud, rather than to be read.
  5. It will use flowery, possibly over the top language in praising the individual.
